Our Story

It started in a hospital in Lithuania.

In 1997, founders Tom and Nancy Stoeckel visited a 900-bed hospital in Panevezys, Lithuania. They watched staff reuse needles and improvise sterilization for equipment that should have been replaced years earlier.

Back home, Tom ran a U.S. emergency department that discarded perfectly usable supplies every single day. The contrast was impossible to unsee.

Medical Ministries International was founded in 1998 to connect that surplus with the hospitals that need it most.

What We Do

Three ways surplus becomes care.

Container Shipments

We fill 40-ft sea containers with $450,000–$500,000 of supplies and equipment, shipped directly to vetted hospitals.

Adopt-A-Box

Sponsor one of roughly 500 boxes in a container. Every box is packed, labeled, and tracked to its destination.

Eyeglass Recycling

Volunteers clean, repair, and read donated eyeglasses, then match each pair to a prescription in the field.

Hospitals, clinics, and suppliers donate surplus supplies and equipment.

Sort

Volunteers inventory and pack in our Clovis warehouse every Monday and Wednesday.

03 — SHIP

Ship

Around 500 labeled boxes fill a 40-ft container bound for a partner hospital.

04 — DELIVER

Deliver

We build ongoing hospital relationships — not one-time drops.
